March 10th, 2010Siding and Replacement Windows in Killbuck Ohio
August 18th, 2009We recently completed a seamless siding and replacement window project on a home in Killbuck Ohio. The homeowners wanted to improve their home’s energy efficiency, but didn’t want to sacrifice looks. They chose Park Avenue windows with triple panes, Low-E protective coating and krypton gas fill with wood laminate interiors. Triple pane windows are the most energy efficient windows available on the market. Another lesser know benefit is how quiet they make your house when they’re closed. If you live near traffic, this can really decrease the noise level inside.

We also installed a coordinating ProVia steel entry door with leaded & beveled glass. The resulting look is natural and attractive.

The existing siding really needed an update and the homeowners didn’t want to paint it again, so we installed ABC Seamless siding in Slate Blue. The siding style is triple four Dutch Lap. Seamless siding is 28 guage galvanized steel, so it’s not going to rust. More importantly, it won’t get brittle over time like vinyl siding can or blow off like vinyl does. Since the siding is steel, it’s obviously thicker than vinyl, so it adds some insulation value to their house.

Before

This many seem like a small thing, but where ever there is a spigot or plug or other accessory on a house, our crews always finish those off with a box instead of just cutting a hole in the siding for it. We just think it looks more finished and neat that way. As I said, its a small thing, but we like to do things just like we’d do them on our own houses. We’re a little nuts about the details around here.

In addition to having a new look to their house, the homeowners should see their heating bills go down this winter. They are also qualified for the energy tax credit http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=windows_doors.pr_buying_installing and will hopefully benefit from that when tax time comes.
Nothing Has Changed Except the Name: ABC Seamless is now Miller Custom Exteriors
July 8th, 2009Sometimes success brings about unexpected consequences. ABC Seamless of Northeast Ohio has become well-known for its seamless gutters and seamless siding. In the 30-plus years that we have offered these products, we’ve come to find that not everyone is aware of what seamless siding is or that we offer other products.
In addition, we have begun to offer a wider selection of other home improvement products as. While we will continue to offer ABC Seamless® in our siding and gutter division, the company as a whole is now known as Miller Custom Exteriors. Read the rest of this entry »
