Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

To let you know exactly how much your project will cost and guarantee our price in writing for 30 days, we need to do the following:

  • Set up a specific time to meet with you.
  • We will then carefully measure every inch of the remodeling project, discuss the products and options available with you and have you examine a sample of the appropriate product.
  • You are not required to make a decision at that time.

We realize that your time is precious, and we find when we do not follow this procedure and "ballpark" an estimate without all decision makers present we end up frustrating people with a very inaccurate estimate. We can also save your valuable time with an in-home renovation estimate because we can answer all decision makers' questions at this initial meeting.

We do not offer senior "discounts", a special price if you "buy today", etc. because we consider those tactics sales gimmicks. That is, we would have to raise our "list price" to cover the "discount" we would be giving you.
Instead, we give you the best price we can--no matter your age or whether you clipped a coupon. Sometimes, our suppliers will offer sales or offers & we will pass those on to you if they are available at the time of your purchase. We just want to be fair and honest with people. Period.

Some companies will perform their own service work however, hiring a service technician is an expense many companies won't want to bother with. If the company uses subs, those subs are sometimes reluctant to spend more time on a previous job because they probably won't receive additional pay for their time. Consequently, they may not check on your service request until they get around to it — in other words, on their time table, not yours. Miller Custom Exteriors employees handle service requests as part of their regular job duties. Whether its 10 days or 10 years later, if you have any issues caused by manufacturers' or workmanship defect, we will take care of them, guaranteed.

Roofing

Yes, but like with any roof, care should always be taken.

A study conducted by the Acoustic Group found that the sound from a metal roof was only 6 decibels greater than that of a conventional asphalt roof. With ArrowLine’s four way locking and fastening system and the proper underlayment your ArrowLine roof will not contribute to additional noise.

Although the ArrowLine roof system may cost more initially the ArrowLine metal roof should never need to be replaced and therefore should be less expensive over the life of your home. Common asphalt shingles have a shorter life span and will need to replace periodically and thus will probably more expensive over the life of your roof.

ArrowLine Shingle-Shakes are designed to withstand the impact of most hail storms. ArrowLine’s double embossed panels will help minimize damage that might be caused by hail. ArrowLine Shingle-Shakes are covered by a hail protection warranty and approved by many insurance companies for reduced homeowners insurance rates.

The metal used in the manufacturing of ArrowLine Shingle-Shakes will reflect the majority of the rays from the sun and therefore minimizes any heat build-up in your attic. This means that you could actually have a cooler attic when combined with proper ventialtion.

ArrowLine Shingle-Shakes should be the last roof system that you ever buy. ArrowLine Shingle-Shakes were designed to withstand the extreme cold of the northern regions and the blistering heat of the southern states. ArrowLine Shingle-Shakes carry a Lifetime Non-Prorated Limited Warranty.

Grounding of metal siding and roofing is not required by most major building code organizations. Some local building codes might require it, so check with the local inspectors before starting the job.
