Premium to budget, wood to vinyl--we cater to your specific window needs.
While we are well-known for siding and gutters, Miller Custom Exteriors has also offered replacement windows for over 25 years. In keeping with our goals of treating customer’s homes as if they were our own, the Miller brothers did not want to offer a “one size fits all” approach to windows. There have been so many advancements in the technology and design of replacement windows, we want to give customers what they need and want in a window, so we offer more than the basic white interior/white exterior vinyl window.
Lots of Options & Features
Here’s a window insider tip: most window manufacturers offer volume discounts & bonuses, so many window installers will only offer only one two brands. This practice doesn’t really serve customers very well. Miller Custom Exteriors installs several different window lines so that you can get what you want. Want a basic, value window? We can get you that. Want a custom color to match your exterior? We can get you that. Want leaded glass or wood laminate on the interior? We can get you that. We don’t sell you our window, we let you buy the window you want.
Rough Opening Replacement
This is one of our specialties. A conventional window replacement involves inserting the new window in the existing window frame. No interior or exterior trim is removed in this process. The end result can be fine in some circumstances. For example, if the existing trim is in great shape or if it will match the new window. If the window trim is old, damaged or just not the style you want, then rough opening replacement would be best. The trim is removed from around the window opening & new trim is installed. Prior to the new trim installation, insulation can be inserted in the gap between the walls & the frame. This helps create a tight seal in the opening to stop air leakage around the new window. We can also install or replace window sills, which many homes built 15 or 20 years ago do not have.
While many companies install windows, only 10% of all installers have any formal education or certification. That’s why our installers have InstallationMasters™ training –the most rigorous credential in the window industry.
To qualify our window crew leaders as certified InstallationMasters™, we sent them to an intensive two-day training course, coordinated locally by Polaris Technologies and conducted by InstallationMasters™-accredited instructors. The installers had to demonstrate competency by passing a written test designed to assess the knowledge they gained during the training course. Once they passed the test, they became certified InstallationMasters™ installers.
Our window crew leaders are also finish carpenters, each with over 25 years’ construction experience so they understand construction and are very skilled—especially with installing new window trim.
